Victorian Cedar Sideboard c.1860-1890 This unusual cedar sideboard was probably made in Australia during the mid 19th century.The piece has been beautifully made using solid cedar and side cedar panelling, together with a peaked back highlighted by a panel of fiddleback cedar. The strong influence of Beidemeier design is evident in its pyramidal shaped back and square section tapering legs. The Arts and Crafts handles are a later addition, probably around 1900 and some replacement shelves have been recently added. This is a truely unique piece of furniture.
